Message | Mr Speaker, While we definitely support articles 1 and 3 of this legislation, article 2 is an absolute deal breaker. This type of drastic increase in the minimum wage would kill small business and drive large employers toward large scale automization and/or leaving Hutori entirely. Currently the annual income described as the poverty line is slightly north of 13,000 HLR, and under current legislation the minimum wage sits at 8.13 HLR/hour, which would give a 40h/week worker an annual income of 17,000 HLR. Now the poverty line for a family of 4 however is considered approximately 25,000 HLR. Under this legislation, the minimum a full time employee can earn in a year would be 25,000 HLR, which would equal an hourly rate of 11.99 HLR/hour. We absolutely cannot support such a drastic increase that would cripple our economy. Jared Houston MP for Glentingham East Leader of the Conservative Party |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
