| Tom Jones made a controversial address yesterday, talking about the political situation in the country. "9 months after the election, we have now a new cabinet. I could be happy about that but I'm worried by the state of democracy in this country. This is why I'm making this address. The Imperatorial election saw a very clear victory of the values I represent while the parliamentary election saw the opposite. Those two realities do not need to be opposed, but they rather need to cooperate because this country can only thrive in unity. Mr. Weston chose to lead a weak minority government. Supported alternatively by the two smallest parties in this Diet. We don't really know if the Holy Party or the Luthorian Democratic League supports it. Does that sound link a stable majority? He did not even start negotiations with me and ignored the will of 40 million Luthorians. This attitude is also revealing a badly shaped and prepared government program. This government is going to take away women's rights with the very restrictive law on abortion or anti-inclusivity laws. Their tax reform is going to increase taxes on the middle class to fund a badly managed budget spending funds where it is useless. [...] (go on about how bad the government program is) The project I defended during my campaign was the opposite of the projects of Mr. Hillman and Mr. Weston. I will keep opposing this reactionary cabinet as Imperator and member of the Socialist Party. The Imperial Seal Bearer should find an agreement with the Imperator to govern the country. I urge all those who oppose Mr. Weston Cabinet to unite, I am calling for the resignation of Mr. Weston and for fresh, new elections to take place. |
