Details

Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: June 4816
Description[?]:
More than 2 years after the law making judicial corporal punishment as well as the use of torture by the police legal, the government of Mr. Hurrington releases a first major report. According to the government statistics and the Office of Statistics of the Empire, crime rates have dropped by 30 percents. Thefts have dropped by 25 %, violent crimes by 35 % and burglaries by 15 %. Blasphemy offenses dropped by 5 % while illegal sex is on the rise because of the new laws. Police brutality complaints have also increased by 500 %. However, 80 % of them are dismissed and 5 % led to a conviction for the officer. Left-wing medias are filled with stories of suspects being tortured by police officers "for no reason". Punches, ear pulling, kicking, bludgeoning are becoming a common things in police stations according to left-wing and liberal medias. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "This decrease in crime rates is the result of the NM policies. We promised everyone that criminals will be in jail instead of being on the streets and we kept our promise despite the intimidation by the left! The streets are safer and criminals are being taken care of. Our cabinet is doing a good job and the attempt, by the opposition, to form a new pointless cabinet is only reinforcing my determination. Yes, gentlemen, corporal punishment works and crime is decreasing!" Count William of Hurrington, Imperial Seal Bearer. |

Message | ooc: why are you voting no on an rp bill which only makes logical sense? yes of course corporal punishment decreases crime rate and ups police brutality, yet you vote against this since it's made by a party you oppose. this is just stupid. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
