Description[?]:

Auspex Law on Selucian National Games

Members of the Assembly,
Through the approval of the following law, all those sections of the Decree of the Senate on Games (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=631383) that have an explicit or implicit mention of religion are repealed from the Decree of the Senate on Games, thus separating this representative characteristic of different groups to give way to national games that they represent the whole of society as a whole. Therefore, the tradition, dates and non-religious events of the games are maintained as they are established by law, removing only all those religious events that accompany it.

Are the Communists proposing that the religious games, historically and at present dedicated to specific deities, be stripped of their traditional and religious context, just because the Communists have an irrational and superstitious fear of everything religious? This is an absurd and ridiculous proposal!

I would understand it if they didn't want the government to finance these events, but appropriating them to soothe their fragile egos is unheard of. Make your own damn games, and leave ours alone!

This proposal is clearly undemocratic and unconstitutional . If this passes, the People's Tribunal will seek to repeal this proposal, forcing the Assembly to reconfirm or reject this will.

MessageQuirites,

We truly missed the Hon. members of the MTS calling us Communists because we disagree with them. We really did. However, we have explained our reasons behind these proposals again and again. It's the MTS the one which tries to make these Games, made to include all our citizens, at their own form. It this weren't the case, they would have attempted to at least, develop some kind of mechanism to make sure all Selucians feel represented by the "Selucian" games, instead of bringing them to the front to confront their political opponents.

Moreover, we would like to know where does the unconstitutionality of this bill lie, as it is a simple rejection of a previous law, therefore applying a simple reversion to a previous state that was not considered unconstitutional. But, if Hon. Spurius Laurentius, which, by the way, after having served as Consul of Selucia should be declared unconstitutionally valid to serve in the People's Tribunate, wishes to bring this case to the People's Tribunal, we invite him to do so, and the Senate will reconfirm this bill.

MessageQuirites,

We keep referring to the small extremist party known as COSIRA as "Communists" because they openly admitted they have Communists among them. If there were any open Fascists in our own party, even as a small faction, I am sure we would never hear the end of it and COSIRA would refer to us as the "Fascists". Of course, as we are a democratic and republican party, neither Fascists nor Communists have any room in the MTS. I wish I could say the same about COSIRA.

Unlike the Communists, we actually value and celebrate diversity and don't seek to impose a single religious identity on all our citizens. We celebrate the traditional games of our indigenous polytheistic traditions, just as we honor and celebrate the Hosian faith, and even, during our time in office, we went out of our way to finance the celebrations of atheists.

If the Communists truly supported the separation of religion and state, they would allow the traditional Selucian games to continue as they are, allowing Pagans autonomy in their own affairs. But clearly what they want to do is to destroy religion, because they are too intolerant and dogmatic to understand it.
