| Pomponian Law on Asylum Quirites, Selucia is one of the few nations on Terra where the indigenous religions of the native peoples have survived the onslaught of monotheistic imperialism and colonialism, but only barely so. For thousands of years we have found ourselves persecuted, killed, and forced to abandon our Gods and convert on pain of death to foreign superstitions. It is only through monumental efforts and uncountable sacrifices throughout the millennia that we have managed to survive to this day, and even now our very existence is under threat from Hosians and atheists. We are not unique in our struggle. Throughout Terra hegemonic monotheism continues to marginalize and persecute pagans and polytheists in practically every nation. It is our duty to extend solidarity to all indigenous peoples and support them in the preservation of their traditional religions. Sadly, that is not always possible, and in many instances it is impossible to put an end to persecution. For this reason we call for the Republic to become a safe haven for all those fleeing persecution for their native religions. Selucia will grant asylum and an expedited path to citizenship to all those practicing a polytheistic or pagan religion, provided said religion is a minority in their nation of origin.
