MessageMr. Speaker,

Throughout our history, Hutori has shown itself to be a global leader. We innovate, we promote and maintain peace, and we have the finest Armed Forces in the world. Hutori's leadership has been so widely recognized that when permanent seats existed on the Security Council Hutori held one for centuries. While our nation has continued to lead on the world stage, we have had to do it without a voice at the Security Council table. That ends now. Over the next 5 years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be authorized to spend up to 50 million Lira to promote our bid for Security Council seat D. With a seat on the Security Council, Hutori will have more tools at our disposal to resolve international disputes, defend our allies, and spread our values of democracy, freedom, peace and prosperity across Terra. I hope all Senators will join me in supporting this legislation.

Rt. Hon. Phillipe Trudeau
Senator for Saint Anslem Jonquiere
Prime Minister of Hutori

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.

Random quote: "The two greatest obstacles to democracy in the United States are, first, the widespread delusion among the poor that we have a democracy, and second, the chronic terror among the rich, lest we get it." - Edward Dowling
