Message | Mr. Speaker, It looks like our vote will be decisive and we would like to explain our positions. We believe that it is necessary and in the interest of the citizen to ask farmers to list the pesticides they use. Can you imagine eating any product without knowing if its composition can be harmful? We also oppose the ultra-capitalism that says that the state should only subsidise agriculture on the basis of demand. There are millions of poor families who need these subsidies. Finally, we support animal welfare and condemn this third article. Animals deserve to be treated with respect because they share the Earth with us. Moreover, animals in poor health cause disease after slaughter, when they are consumed. James of Hurrington, MP. |
