| We propose spending increases for Education to fund our recent bill as an investment in the future of our nation and to promote economic growth in the future with a better-educated workforce. We therefore have diverted spending from Defence and increased spending for Trade and Industry which must oversee our manpower development. |

However, the bill has yet to be brought to a vote. This should be brought to a vote now, so as to pass before next year's elections. Our schools deserve no less. |
