We propose spending increases for Education to fund our recent bill as an investment in the future of our nation and to promote economic growth in the future with a better-educated workforce. We therefore have diverted spending from Defence and increased spending for Trade and Industry which must oversee our manpower development. |

Message | All political parties with seats in the Assembly have supported. These funds are sorely needed to implement the educational mandates included in the previous bill. However, the bill has yet to be brought to a vote. This should be brought to a vote now, so as to pass before next year's elections. Our schools deserve no less. |
