Message | Seeing as how the budget passed, but the tax brackets most likely won't, the nation is set to run at a considerable deficit. If we are to exempt all income up to 15k from taxation, we should implement a small yet necessary VAT on essential goods; this coupled with a slight increase to corporation taxes will go a long way in alleviating both the deficit and bringing about more equality. |
Date | 15:01:54, March 06, 2021 CET | From | Parti Socialiste Populaire | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of December 4901 |
Message | While we support this bill as a way to cover the error of the last budget, and welcome the corporation tax rise, we cannot accept the 6% essential goods tax as a long-term measure, and suggest either a cut to some departments or a rise in luxury goods tax so that essential goods tax can return to zero. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
