Description[?]:
"The elderly of Keymon deserve respect and loyalty from the govt. which they have given their lives to for decades long passed. They presently have to survive with the help of others because the Govt. has turned its back on them and denied them pensions. The DPP sees this as a stab in the back by the Govt. who are very happy to use working class labour, but are reluctant to reward the working class with a pension. It just seems fair to the DPP that a pension scheme be set up across Keymon. If the question is Finance then the DPP suggest that the age for qualification for a pension be raised above 65 to stop the spending spiralling out of control." Physio Pat Rice, DPP Shadow Minister for Health & Social Services |

Message | "One of the earliest battles on fiscal responsibility took place in the 2190s, and it was concerning pensions and other welfare programs. We broke it down number by number to demonstrate that such a program would surpass the entire current national budget. That said, we'd be willing to slightly raise the retirement age (it used to be 75) and consider a much more moderate pension program. This one here goes too far . . . that is, unless we don't mind scrapping the entire fleet of ships. And the fire department contract program. And the police program. And the youth health program. I suspect we mind all of those things, so let's talk moderate pensions." -- Rufio Carmichael, Director General (still. . . 74, please let me retire!) |
