Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4998

Description[?]:

Following the "Private members' bill: Education Act 4998" are concerned about the impact this legislation would have on their community. The Viscount Of Dalcastle, the Earl of Elgin and the Duke of Middenriding expressed their discontent following the legislation that would ban private schools. They are asking the government to immediately remove this piece of legislation otherwise they will use their influence to drive out the government.
"This legislation is totally unacceptable! The children of our caste should not be mixed with the other layers of the population. The socialist policies of the government are a disgrace! This ignominy will be fought with vigor!" said a letter signed by 598 nobles.
It is also rumored that the governor of Erneshire Eva Longham met with the Duke of Erneshire to talk about this issue.

MessageOOC: Please rename the Earl of Elgin, it's a clear RL reference violation.

IC: The prime minister is furious at the attempted intervention, now considering backing the proposal of the radicals in his party purely out of spite, and has told the nobles in question that they have no influence with which to drive out the government.

MessageOOC: OK but I cannot rename it now since it's in the bill. I thought it was not that important.
