Bill: Administratio Reformationis 5002

Details

Submitted by[?]: Factio Renatus Seluciana

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 5003

Description[?]:

Factio Renatus Seluciana supports the commonwealth model of government, yet believes that in its current form that the organization of it is quite esoteric. To simplify matters of government, we propose the following changes to the government, specifically the Magistrates (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=630033).

Here are our proposed changes to the Magistrates:

All Magistrates under the Consuls that are appointed by the People's Assembly (Praetors, Aediles, Quaestors) will be reformed into a single position, simply called a Magistrate. The Magistrates will be responsible for managing their respective department (eg. Justice, Foreign Affairs). Each Magistrate will be appointed by the People's Assembly, as it was before. All Magistrates will answer to and assist the Consuls. Each Magistrate is entitled a lictor.

Lastly, we also wish to reverse some of the changes to the government that MCP has attempted. We believe that these changes were too drastic to the current system and not in-depth enough.

We are open to any potential changes.

MessageUnsubmissive Homeland supports this proposal. However, we would like to ask one point for clarification. Will senators (if this bill is approved, then called deputies) will once again be elected randomly from the population, according to the laws that were established before, or will they be chosen from political parties that contest the elections? Thanks

Random fact: Once approved, players should copy Cultural Protocols into a bill in the debate section of their nation page, under the title of "OOC: Cultural Protocols". This bill should include links to the passed Cultural Protocol bill and the Moderation approval.
