The Shieldwall advanced in all duchies but Orange, where the party's working-class voters defected to the left. Commentators described the result as "disastrous" for the opposition. "Not only have the Liberals been wiped out in Erneshire and the Northriding, but they've even lost Middenriding. Angela Ashworth's leadership has been a disaster, and she needs to go if the Liberals are to have any chance next year." |
