It seems to us the language suggesting members should be communist states is now inappropriate for us. On the other hand, it may be the Foreign Office believes a mutual defense treaty with the parties to the treaty is very valuable despite the language. | Message | Mr. Speaker, Setting aside the immediate benefits of continuing membership in the Pact, must we so hastily forget the basic principle of this? Deltaria is no longer a communist nation and the Deltarian people have deigned to recognize the threat communism poses.
