With regard to the bill presented above, we think that the highest title, being addressed as Lord/Lady, is a bit problematic because of the association of the 2 words with feudal times. Not only that, Gaduridos in fact forbids granting titles of nobility, which Lord and Lady are generally interpreted as.Also, there’s no term for those who identify as non binary to be addressed by in formal events, and there is no known gender neutral term for Lord/Lady.Therefore we propose the following amendment.

1.Upon the passage of this bill, in all formal events afterwards, those with the 3 strip award will no longer be addressed as “Lord/Lady”.Instead, they will be addressed as “The Honorable (insert name)”.
2.The same laws that previously applied to “Lord/Lady” will still apply to “The Honorable (insert name)”

We believe that the term “The Honorable” implies that the person did something worthy of immense respect, whereas “Lord/Lady” can imply nobility and merely being born into a position of power.

We fully support this reform. We agree that “The Honorable” is a superior title that avoids the ties that “lord/lady” has to feudal times.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
