Message | Mr. Speaker, While we in the PC Party agree that the continued ban on non-medically necessary abortions should be brought to an end. However, the drastic change of removing all regulations on abortion is simply too far. Our party is open to working with the NPP and all Members of this House on a more reasonable piece of legislation that sets regulations as to how far into a pregnancy an abortion can be performed, an a requirement to provide information on all available options, including adoption. Message | Mr. Speaker, I understand the criticisms of the honorable representative from Saint Anslem—Nicolet and we added some regulations to the bill accordingly. We have also modified to bill so that abortion might be performed only during the 6 first months of pregagnancy. Even if we disagree with the idea that abortion should be limited in time, since we believe it's not the role of the state to say when and how a women should have abortion, we understand the importance to compromise in order for such an important bill to pass. -Sophie Macphail MP for Constantine South Leader of the National Progress Party in Lagard |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
