Luxury Goods Tax - Increase by 8%, new rate shall be 18%. Estimated revenue increase - 46.1 Billion Lira.

Corporate Tax - Decrease by 13%, new rate shall be 2%. Estimated revenue loss - 13.4 Billion Lira

Previous Budget Surplus: 3.7 Billion Lira

Projected New Surplus: 4.4 Billion Lira

2% corporate tax? this is insane, we aren't trying to become a tax heaven. and the increase on luxury goods will only make consumption of those goods go down, so profit will most likely be minimal.

Hutori has a long history of imposing no corporate tax at all, which attracted foreign companies to set up here and create millions of good paying jobs for Hutorians. While our party wished to move to that policy, we found compromise with our government partners. And I would like to take a moment, Mr. Speaker, to thank my friends in the Liberal and Republican parties for their hard work and cooperation in crafting this budget. When parties with differing views work together, Hutorians reap the benefits.
