Message | Mr. Speaker, People can express their faith under the current law, but it prevents judges, for instance, from showing Hosian symbols when trying atheists, which, in a nation where one of the two major parties has repeatedly expressed its intention to criminalize non-Hosian beliefs and practices, would quite reasonably have an unfairly distracting and frightening effect on the defendants. As such, the current law is better than the proposed change. |
