Message | We agree with Articles 1 and 4, but not with any vehemence. We seriously disagree with Articles 3,5 and 10. * We support limited copy protection. * We support government subsidies for independent non profit making cooperatives for educational and informational purposes; other private non-subsidised radio stations should be allowed. Total socialization of broadcasting is opposed to the principle of free speech. * We would like to see regulation of private health-care clinics. We oppose banning them. * We could support putting illegal aliens in integration centers or allowing local governments to deal with them. Preferably the latter. But we don't see a compelling reason to change the current set-up. * We would be happy to limit intelligence services to counterintelligence and surveillance of other countries. We can not support the complete abdication of intelligence services. * We would like to see the government encourage the formation of Democratic Workers' Councils through subsidies and tax exemptions. These are the only items our party would be willing to debate. Otherwise, we can not in good conscience, or any conscience for that matter, vote in favor of this measure. If the Ministerial Party is what we suspect it to be, we really hate agreeing with them :) |

Message | This looks like the Sekowan Enabling Acts. Gives us something to fix later, when power is more evenly distributed. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
