Bill: More television freedom

Details

Submitted by[?]: Drake Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2234

Description[?]:

While the Drake Party oposes sexually explicit content that children may view, we support freedom to do as one wishes as long as it does not infringe upon another. No one forces children to watch this content. Parent already have the option with v-chips to block objectionable content. Therefore we believe that broadcasting this material does not infringe on anyone elses rights and should be legal.

MessageThis is a big meh. More important is the problem of government control of the media. I'd flip a coin on this one.

MessageWe disagree with this proposal. There needs to be a benchmark for Sekowan media. If we let them show sexually explicit content, as time goes by what may seem borderline acceptable now will devolve into largely unacceptable broadcasts in the future.

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current.

Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician
