| We, The Federalist Party of Beluzia, immediately, regardless of any so-called consensus support. Despite holding a strong record of aptly handling the economy and having recently paid off the national debt in full, the fellow political parties of Beluzia have refused to follow the economic recommendations of Finance Minister Rusty Henderson. Despite criticism from former PM and retired Finance Minister John Amos Mattox III, the Federalist Party has ordered Minister Henderson to hand in his resignation. As a show of support, PM Becky Everton, Agriculture Minister Lorenzo Gray, Environment Minister Laurent Perrier, and Trade Minister Frigga Childress have also handed in their resignations. President Truman accepted all of their resignations; if was he able to, Truman said that he would also resign. He has also said that he will not seek reelection. "If the other parties will not follow the economic wisdom of those that understand such matters, then they should not expect them to share their wisdom so freely," Truman said in a statement. "The Federalist National Committee has convened and added a plank to our platform that rules that we shall refrain from assisting on any economic matters until further notice. We shall also refrain from serving in Cabinet positions until further notice. Any Federalist that violates this plank shall be expelled from the party." Polling indicates that 93% of registered Federalists support the move, and support new elections. |
