Bill: Charlotte Davies talks about the current hearings

Details

Submitted by[?]: Course of Freedom (Kellins faction)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 5187

Description[?]:

"As a parliamentarian elected in the 5185 Luthorian parliamentary election, my parliamentary immunity allows me to be exempted from any civil or criminal liability. I served the Luthorian people for more than 5 years and I have nothing to blame me for when exercising my duties.
I believe these hearings are nonsensical and won't take part in them. If the far-right cabinet wants to arrest the leader of the largest political party, then it would be a clear turn towards a fascist state. Whatever happens, I will always resist right-wing extremism!"

"Under current laws only members of the legislature are exempted from any civil or criminal liability for their speech or actions, but this immunity can be overruled by a vote in the nation's legislative body.

So even if Davies does indeed have some kind of immunity it's the House of Commons right to overrule such a thing, which is exactly what we're doing."
