Details

Submitted by[?]: National Labour Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 5196

Description[?]:

"Mr. Speaker of the House of Commons,

As Grand Chamberlain of the Royal House, the new King has sent me here to ask this honorable house to pass a special bill to make Prince George, now King Albert II, officially King-Emperor of the Commonwealth of Luthori, the choice of this House is very complicated because if this one does not pass, the House could seek a new pretender to the throne, but I would like to read a letter from His Imperial Majesty:

"Dear Members, Mr. Speaker of the House of Commons,
Given the tradition of our democracy, I have no right to set foot in the House of Commons or the Senate, to avoid certain royal interference in the exercise of our democracy, the death of my father, the late King William VI must have come as a shock to many of you, considering how healthy and much loved he was by the people, the House of Orange-Vilayn Armstead has been through difficult times for many years, but my father has succeeded in making the people see the monarchy as an instrument of stability, after our exile and the Third Republic and the years of crisis preceding the establishment of the Republic and the death of my grandmother, today I ask this honorable chamber, to do me the honor of officially proclaiming myself King of Luthori, I will continue the reforms of the Royal House carried out by my father and the strict neutrality of royalty in the face of politics, established by my grandmother.
HIM Albert II,
King-Emperor of Luthori"

I, Duke John VI de Mornailles, Great Chamberlain of Imperial Crown of Luthori, in the name of the Royal Family and the Royal House, ask the House of Commons to ratify the law which will make Albert II the new King-Emperor of Luthori.

MessageMr. Speaker,
There is no Governor-General and we would humbly ask this bill be tabled again which removes the GG office entirely.

We will never recognise it, ever.

Hear them Mr. Speaker,
Hear them loudly. We are your loyal subjects but we cannot in good conscience support a succession which recognises an office, which only serves to delegitimize your authority.

Hail Luthori!

MessageMr. Speaker,
Dear colleagues,

In order to avoid an institutionnal blockage, we will support this bill. The king reaffirmed the neutrality of the monarchy and as such, we see no issues with this simple bill. Of course, the Left Party remains Republican but this bill is not a matter of republicanism.
