Message | Mr. Speaker, While the Hutorian Nationalist Front strongly supports upholding the law of the land, and thus agrees with the general conceit of this bill, we would wish to argue for slightly reduced sentences. We feel like the sentences are severely long for a relatively minor offense. We also would like a more concrete definition of the paramilitary. When the Hutorian Nationalist Front speaks of paramilitaries, we reference an unarmed uniformed group, that would promote party cohesion, as well as community service, acting as somewhat of a neighborhood watch for communities that primarily vote for the Hutorian Nationalist Front. We do not envision our paramilitary as a violent force, which appears to be a source of misunderstanding. That being said we would support this bill, with penalties reduced to a jail time of no more than 2 years. Thank you, and may this herald a new era of understanding and cooperation between the Hutorian Nationalist Front and the rest of the legislature. Hutori Forever! Alexander Lewis, General Secretary Hutorian Nationalist Front. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We oppose this bill on grounds that it seeks to target a particular political party, instead of a general crime. No paramilitaries have actually been formed, and until they are we don't see a reason to pass bills on the matter. UF |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The Unionist Front is half-correct in its estimation. Yes, this legislation is in direct response to a political party threatening to form a paramilitary. However, to suggest this would only be used against one party is only true so long as the HNF is the only party threatening to take this action. And to that Senator's last point, would the UF prefer that we not implement penalties for crimes before they are committed? And finally, I want to say that nobody believes the HNF when they now, after being told their paramilitary will not be tolerated, backpedle and suggest it will be some non-violent organization. That party was literally making up lies about violence in Hutori's streets that they would put down with their paramilitary. Hon. Message | Oh, and one more thing, Mr. Speaker, Hutori already has more than capable police forces at the city, provincial and federal level, we don't want, nor need, vigilantees from the HNF patrolling the streets. Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
