Bill: Progressives take over the Centre

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthorian Labour - Progressive Wing 🛑

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 5315

Description[?]:

At the recent leadership poll, leftist Sally Edwards won by a landslide against rivals Axel Park and Stephanie Grant, decisively blocking the entrance of any form of right-wing government in Luthori. The new leadership quickly deselected many of the key figures of the Centre’s right, in an attempt to assure the party’s unity in the upcoming elections. While this largely succeeded, many on the right were not happy. Kai Kersey, seen as a leader on the right, talked about his anger at the party that had ‘purged’ itself for electoral success and said he was now a supporter of the Whigs, whose free-market policies appealed to him more than social democracy.
