(This bill was proposed by the minister of Defence Alex Scott) There is no evidence that private defence industries have ever done any good. The interest of private business is not protect our country, it is to protect the profit margin. Truthfully, private defence industry have no incentive to produce actually quality weapon and equipment and have been historically controlled by an oligopoly with little to no competition. |

Message | Mr Speaker, The RLD does not agree with the Minister. We believe that even here the demand and supply mechanism should prevail above state owned companies.
