| This law is in continuation & accordance to Police Powers (Amendments) Act (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=684056). * The Federal & Ducal police forces will remain separate * Funding & Operation of police will be responsibility of respective federal & ducal governments. *Duchy police will be first responder for the crimes occuring in any duchy areas. *Federal police force will be responsible for responding to crimes in federal areas i.e. National Capital or other areas designated as federal territory by the Constitution. *In case of inter duchy crimes, federal police will coordinate with the ducal police forces to secure the crime scene & capturing of suspects if the suspect/suspects have run off or belong to other duchies or if any related evidence is outside the duchy where the crime has happened. Federal police will hand over the suspects/evidence or any related things/evidence to the duchy police where the crime occurred so the respective duchy police can carry forward their investigation. * In case multiple similar crimes have happened across the duchies the federal & ducal police must coordinate & investigate & for the purpose form a joint team/council.In such cases the police report is unanimously formed by the team & submitted in one of concerned high courts & the court can then decide on the case. *Federal police can only act in ducal territories if the subject matter is federal or have the permission of duchy government. *Federal police will have full authority in Federal areas relating to all subjects *Duchy police will be the primary police force in a duchy. |
