Bill: Rt. Hon’ Martin Smith Finally Fired

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Socialist Party 🌷 (LSP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 5259

Description[?]:

The previous Foreign Minister during the Beiteynu Crisis, Martin Smith, has been fired in a unanimous decision made by LSP members last night. The reason was apparently to “wash the party’s hands clean of a disgraceful and unacceptable excuse of a politician.” While this may come as a surprise to anyone other than LSP members, Mr Smith had never recovered from the embarrassment he caused to the country, his party, himself and his cabinet due to his reckless press statements about the murder of the then leader of Beiteynu, Baruch Lea Tzafrir in Malivia. After many years, his unpopularity has only decreased. Another reason is most likely also Mr Smith’s power, him being the LSP member with the most cabinets to his name.

After Aschington became leader of the LSP, she made numerous large reshuffles to the party, this being one of them. Henrietta Barber will replace him as the new Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
