Voting deadline: January 5298

Description[?]:

(This bill was proposed by Senator Prenzler)

Currently the law provides that all individuals are required to be educated to at least 18 years of age. However, this results in negative effects for the families of farmers out in rural Hutori. Should assistance be required on the farm from their children, farmers cannot take their children out of school to help run the family farm. It is well known that many children eventually run the farms they grew up on, therefore, the mandatory age should be lowered to 16. This will allow children to leave school to assist in running the farm, while getting hands on learning from the experiences of full-time work on it rather than being stuck in the latter years of school. By the time people are 16, they would have been taught the required literacy and numeracy to live in the modern world, and hence such later years should be reserved for those seeking to go to University or other forms of tertiary education.

Provisions:
Article 1.) The age until which students shall be required to be educated shall be 16

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.

Random quote: "It is said, 'Pontesi is Jelbic in nature'. But I tell you, they are really a lost tribe of Selucians, forced to become barbarians by their savage Jelbic conquerors." - Alamar Xarfaxis, former Pontesian politician
