Messagewe just threw a random name out there. Any other suggestions would be welcome, we just need somthing more than "Head of Government"

MessageNope, that’s the Head of State.

OOC: That’s why the French have a President (HoS) and a Prime Minister (HoG). Anyway that’s what they deserve for executing all their monarchy.

MessageNo. I thought it was agreed that whoever won the Consul election would also be HoG. Or is that just me?

MessageI don’t really see any need to name this position. Can’t it just be Head of Government. It would reduce any possible confusion as to the meaning of the title.

OOC: I can’t remember any such agreement.

MessageUnder the new Judiciary Act, a Chancellor is the title for Supreme Court judge. Prime Minister makes sense, since s/he is at the moment simply the First Minister, and has no real role as far as we can tell.

Quite frankly, I don't see what the point of the different roles is at the moment. The HoS, especially, seems like a figurehead position.

OOC: then why does FMP have the position of HoG at the moment?

MessageOOC: Because whoever proposed the cabinet selected that party for that particular position. But it’s in no way mandatory as you seem to be suggesting.

MessageOOC: Eh, I'm just going by tradition. Looking back, the party that won the HoS also has become the largest party, and deserving of the HoG position. This has been the case up until the past three elections, where the party that won the HoS did not become the largest party.

I'll propose a new cabinet, and change the title for HoG to Prime Minister.

Messagealso, just a formality thing =) Tony Blair is Prime Minister, not Head of Government, and I don't see and confusion coming from it. It would also be somthing interesting to RP =)

Anyway, we'll just put it to a vote. Since it has no direct affect right now, we're just trying to make bills and what not so things don't slow down.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
