Bill: Free Trade Reformation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Capitalist National Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 5340

Description[?]:

This bill seeks to address the startling issue of free trade in our nation. We should have the right as a nation to determine whether tariffs and quotas are necessary to protect domestic industries from international competition. This is a right practice by many nations across the world and we should not be an outlier to economic success. Repealing our signature to these treaties will allow us greater economic freedom and promote economic growth within the borders of our country. While international relations are important, there should be no priority higher than the well-being of our own citizens.

((Some of these treaties are outdated and original signatories no longer have treaties ratified - we stand alone.))

MessageMr. Speaker,

I move for a point of inquiry. I ask the leader of the Reform Party through the Chair why he would support exiting the LTTA but not any other treaty listed - especially Article 2 as Keymon is not even a signatory of their own free trade agreement.

I yield.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
