Description[?]:
Republican Times - 5 December 5342 In a surprise turn, after contesting in five elections and his party making constant losses in all elections, Calvin Duncan announced his resignation in 5 December 5342. The president will be vacant until 10 December 5342, when leadership elections are planned to be held. Calvin Duncan announced his resignation with this speech: "In the all elections that I leaded Course of Freedom, the party made constant losses and got stuck to the main opposition. While my leadership first rose the party to prominence, then the same leadership also fell the party to weakness, and this means that the benefits I could made to the party ended. The new leader will not be appointed nor will be ex officio, the new leader will be elected by party members in 10 December 5342. Until the elections, the President position will remain vacant and the Members of Imperial Diet will jointly represent the party in the national and regional stages. However, I did not resign from the party and I will still remain as a Member of Imperial Diet." The resignation of Calvin Duncan from presidency was a step in Course of Freedom towards renewal and innovation, and we will see how the new leader will shape the party. |
