Message | ...there are two things about this proposed law that sticks in the craw of every member of the Free Beluzian party. First, the idea that we would be releasing MURDERS and CHILD ABUSERS and SEX OFFENDERS after only two weeks. The second is that SLAVERY - FOR GODS SAKE, SLAVERY! - Was suggested asa reasonable alternative. If the Free Beluzians hold any seats if this comes to a vote, it will be no. |

Message | We wouldn't be releasing them after 2 weeks... Have you read the bill closely? If someone was a wicked criminal, the state would make use of them however necesssary, thru organ/tissue/blood/bone marrow etc.. harvesting, scientific experimentation, and gladitorial combat. Consider that as a more efficient death penalty. As far as the slavery, it would be temporary in most cases, and used as a more humane alternative to prison for more moral offenders. |

Message | So not slavery so much as work gangs. The Free Beluzian party is still not divided on this issue. On the one hand, these are still Beluzians, and as such should have certain rights, and the FBP also believes that the current Justice system needs an overhaul, as there is a chance that many of the 'offenders' in jail might be innocent. On the other hand, we agree that we should get as much use out of convicted murders, rapists, and other dangerous elements in society. |

Message | FBP - if you read the national laws you will find that prisoners already need to work in prison so I see no need for "work gangs". Also if you want to read more about how this bill was decided read "The Hidden Workforce" as this is a bill I introduced on the topic of prison labour - is a bit heavy, cause the LCP and I laid in to each other on it. All in the name of good humour, though. :-) |

Message | The PPP refered to slavery as temporary in most cases, and used as a more humane alternative for more moral offenders. The term slavery has negative connotations, so at the first chance the National Chairman could he opted for Work Gangs as opposed to slavery... Should this issue come to a vote at a time when the FPB holds seats, we will do a poll, then decide on how to vote that way. |
