Bill: Political Titles Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Democratic Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2073

Description[?]:

Purely for cosmetic purposes. The name Leading Minister for our head of state just seems boring and we see from many past resolutions that many feel the same. We thought it appropriate to open up a debate into what would sound better than a simple "Leading Minister". We suggest something like Chancellor or Consul.

MessageIt is all explained in the Description. What do you think would be a more suitable title for head of state in our country, Darnussia?

MessageGod, finally someone besides me and Comm. agrees. You got at least 190 seats backing you up should you come up with something good.

I always liked President. Sadly people are scared of such a title.

MessageWe will pass this bill into the voting stage only upon coming to a proper concensus over the title of the Head of State of the Darnussian Republic. The only instance towards the contrary would be when a name change would have a chance of winning despite a few seats against. This way we may reach the best possible compromise on this issue. Agreed?

MessageWell I agree. I just want the bloody name updated. It's been the same for nearly 40 years. I've been against it since it was proposed and I had absolutely no seats to vote against the bill. I will not be denied again, for the 5th time!
