Bill: A vote of No Confidence
Details
Submitted by[?]: Duchy's People's Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2256
Description[?]:
"We can no longer sit by and allow the CD to remove the defences of Keymon, the threat from Likatonia is real and they won't care if we claim to be a neutral nation. The CD government beilives that the treaties of Keymon will protect us, but of all the nations who signed the treaty who has offered aid in preventing Likatonia from claiming Keymon as a colony. Something must be done immediately so that we can slavage what defences we can and to do that we have to remove the CD government from power and instate a council to prepare Keymon for invasion. So unless the CD quickly agree to rebuild our defences I, Makaveilli Tha Don leader of the Duchy's People's Party, call for a vote of no confidence in the CD government and hope that the rest of the Assembly will support me. I will give the CD time to respond, but only a very short time." |

Message | "The DPP have no credibility when it comes to the debate of violence versus diplomacy. They will choose bloodshed every time; the more blood, the better they like it. Know that we are engaged in negotiation with the Likatonian leadership and we are seeking a peaceful resolution." -- Director General Jaques Phargle |

Message | "We value peace more than you could ever know, we simply fight for what we beilive in. Something we fear that the cowardly CD will never understand. However, on the matter of peace negotiations, have you not been watching the parties of Likatonia voting on a resolution to claim Keymon as a province of Greater Likatonia? http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=72029 The facist majority will win the vote and the terms of the bill state that any resistence to Likatonian occupation shall be interperetted as a declaration of war and I don't plan to qo quietly." --Tha Don |

Message | "I resent the charge of cowardice. My grandfather formed this party to overthrow fascist tyranny, and my predecessor bent this party with her iron will towards the goal of defeating a communist insurgency. We stand and fight, but what we most certainly do not do is rattle sabers in hopes of provoking a foreign invasion!" -- Director General Jaques Phargle |

Message | "I am not attempting to provoke invasion, but trying to prepare for one. The LFF hold a position of strength in Likatonia and have many allies who could help out vote the likatonian parties trying to prevent an occupation of Keymon. You can continue with your conferences if you must Director General, but with the LFF walking out of the talks do you truly believe that it won't come to war." |

Message | "The hustings are a place in which political debate occurs. It is of no surprise to me that your party would take issue with debating issues, as you have demonstrated that your preference is simply to kill the opposition." -- Director General Jaques Phargle |

Message | "The proof is in the pudding, as they say. Our diplomatic efforts have born fruit and the fascists no longer pose a threat in Likatonia. Peace in our time, my friend, peace in our time." -- Director General Jaques Phargle |

Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
