Bill: Police Equipment Broadening Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Free Beluzians

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2072

Description[?]:

That the Military, having spent millions on arms development, are well equiped and armed;

That our Police Forces, which enforce the laws we make, are not as well equiped with inferior civilian-classified weaponry and defenses;

Let this Parliment give our police forces access to improved technology as used by the military.

This Act would not be giving individual policemen a right to own military hardware, only giving the option of police districts to so equip their forces out of their own budgets.

MessageWelcome to Beluzia FBP, its a shame didn't get any seats,You probably arrived to late to make an impact. If you had arrived earlier and proposed a few bills you would have got a few seats, but it doesn't matter you'll be back in it in eight days.

remember the two golden rules of doing well in Particracy:

-Propose lots of bills
-Abstain as little as possible

So what do you stand for? (your description is quite brief)

MessageWhat I stand for is for reforming the justice system and overhauling the economy of Beluzia. My party is a coalition of people who feel that reforms are needed, if not being able to agree on which ones. Meetings of the National Free Beluzian Party resembles what it would be like if each region would send a representative that matched their veiws perfectly - a lot of shouting and eventual waffling.

In short, the FBP end up being moderates, although skewed towards bringing justice, more power to the justice system, and expanding the economy, as well as Rule by Republican Democracy.

MessageThe morality of the FBP reflects that of the entire nation.

It differs from person to person. We don't like crime, and where desperate people turn to it we feel that we should help them. Aside from that, we feel one way AND the other way. The FBP is a coalition rather than a true party.

MessageSo your under the broad heading "wishy-washy"?

MessageThe FBP prefers the term moderate, but in the interest of plain speaking, yes. We're wishy-washy on all issues except the Criminal Justice System.
