Bill: Welcoming those in need.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Duchy's People's Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2260

Description[?]:

"Our present policy on refugees is outdated. What is classed as an 'extreme circumstance', we should allow everyone in and not discriminate againast someone depending on what they went through to get here. Before the CD start arguing that this is to let all the foreign communist terrorists in we would remind them that anyone entering the nation must first go through a strict security check. That should prevent any foreign terrorists from coming to Keymon, although we don't why they would in the first place."

Message"From a fiscal perspective, we are unsure of how this would play out. Welcoming all refugees to Keymon will drown us in refugees, but ending the integration aid program would save money. However, a nation overwhelmed by refugees would bankrupt itself or see massive death in the streets. Furthermore, the Delgarian character of our nation would be obliterated. Our hearts say to support this bill, but our heads say it is unfeasible, and patriotism demands we vote it down. We would consider alternate measures later, however."
