Bill: Recycling is stupid

Details

Submitted by[?]: People's Populist Party - Zogist Mafia

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2265

Description[?]:

It generally takes more resources to recycle than it does to make something new. If there is some situation where recycling '''is''''cost effective, let the private industry engage in such adventures.

In the off chance that we ever run out of SAND, we can always dig up our landfills and recycle all the beer bottles the People have stored there for safekeeping ;)

MessageI'd be willing to meet you halfway with "government financing of facilities for public use, but no mandatory requirements", but to simply declare no national policy is a nonstarter on this bill for FDF.

MessageModeration through extremism. Efficiency through incentive. Communalism through competition.

These are the underlying policies of the People!

MessageLike the FDF I'm only willing to meet halfway on this one so you can't count on my precious two seats I'm afraid.

Messageooc: I take an extreme stance because it affects the voters more. If you look at my overall Political Positions as charted @ http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewparty.php?partyid=112 (Quite near the top), they are moderate. When I want to change how the voters see me, I take an extreme stance.

Feel free to oppose, this is not an central issue for me, I could go either way to be honest. I simply feel like taking a de-regulatory stance at the moment.

MessageWhat exactly is that recipe?? I still recommend that this bill be moderated for the people. A vocal portion of the populace will not be happy with "no mandatory requirements". Take a moderate stance and you will still save tax money and are guaranteed my massive support.

Messageooc: As I said above, moderate stances affect the voters less, and I'm not worried about if this bill passses much. You can feel free to oppose (you don't have any votes yet anyhow), I won't mind. I might even support your alternate proposal, if you make a good enough case for it. For now, this bill stays as is, however.
