Bill: A Secular Stance on Schools
Details
Submitted by[?]: Party of the Beluzian People
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2073
Description[?]:
The Party of the Beluzian People believes that the current position of the nation in regards to religion in school is unfair; Teacher-led prayer in a non-religious, public school can influence kids in a way their parents do not want, in a way that can change them signifigantly, in a way that many Beluzians are unhappy about. A much better solution is to allow parents to send their kids to religious schools, regulated by the government, where the kids can learn religious beliefs at the parents discretion. |

Message | The Free Beluzian Party does agree with Article 1 of the proposed bill, but does not agree with Article 2. At the most, teacher led prayers in public schools shouldn't be involved at the government level. The FBP feels that it would be up to the teachers and the parents to come up with a solution. |

Message | This is rediculous - I hate double bills there so stupid, I agree with one proposal but not the other and it gives the impression if I am confused on the issue. Stop doing them! |

Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill |
