Message | "Everyone keeps saying that the time has come to get rid of this treaty. This treaty has been challenged more than any other treaty and we keep keeping it. I urge all nations to continue to keep it, because it is a critical firewall against the destruction of our freedoms." -- Kyle Douglas |

Message | "Freedom for government does not translate into freedom for people. If we banned any laws that allowed government to execute all minorities, that would restrict any change in some policies. And that would also be freedom. Your understanding of the issues is like that of a small child." -- Jonah Mallory, Acting Director General |

Message | **Zen Collective Bulletin on the Church of Keymon Treaty** Article 1: Supported Article 2: Supported Article 3: Supported to an extent yet we feel that if the government is to propose a treaty like this it should not have a clause allowing the preferential treatment of one religion over another Article 4: Largely Supported Article 5: See comments of article 3 Article 6: Supported Article 7: Opposed. We first believe that this pressures children into such situations that they may not feel comfortable in and we also feel this could be used to promote Christianity above other religions. Article 8: Strongly Opposed. This is nothing more than an attempt to marginalise the indigenous Buddhist population of Keymon and fully implement Christianity onto all. Therefore we largely support the Treaty but would first like to see the clauses in articles 3 and 5 that give the option of preferential treatment to certain religions removed and article 7 ammended to include the options of: "The government leaves this decision up to the schools themselves." "Teacher-led prayers in schools are forbidden." "Teacher-led prayers in schools are forbidden, except in religious schools." Finally, and this is why we continue to vote in favour of removing this treaty, we wish to see the disestablishment of the Church of Keymon and an end to Christian dominance over other faiths therefore the ammending of article 8 to either give the option of: "There is no government policy concerning a state religion." Or to ensure this is the only option available. Thus ends the Zen Collective Bulletin on the Church of Keymon Treaty. |
