| Message | "Equality under the law does not translate into physical equality. A woman cannot perform the same function as a member of the coast guard as a man can because she is, on average, 66% as strong in terms of upper body strength. Furthermore, naval tradition regarding the role of women on ships should not be trifled with. Finally, our military consists of a six-ship navy and will soon be rolled into the interior ministry as a part of our border patrol, so this is not a major issue anyway. -- Rob Nairn |
