Date | 01:19:44, October 18, 2006 CET | From | Kitchen Table Party | To | Debating the Child Discipline Act |
Message | The Kitchen Table Party opposes this legislation. While we agree with the desire to empower local schools to implement solutions that are the most appropriate to their circumstances, the KTP believes our education system must never lose sight of its responsibility to prepare young individuals to be productive members of society. If we allowed the use of corporal punishment, we would be sending the wrong message to our next generation and most impressionable citizens--that violence is the best means to solve problems. The KTP opposes this legislation. |
