Bill: Healthcare Medium
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2077
Description[?]:
Even in Canada, the rich go south of the border to have higher quality healthcare treatments because they do not want to die for an idiotic ideal of the government. This bill allows the richer to pay for their own healthcare, thereby giving their own money away. And to pay for the healthcare for those that cannot afford it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Health care policy.
Old value:: Health care is entirely public and free; private clinics are banned.
Current: Health care is entirely private.
Proposed: Health care is private, but is paid for by the state for people with low incomes.

Message | Arrogance? It's idealism, there's a big difference and I see no reason to change my stance. This is why there's DEBATE stage, which you often chose to ignore which inclines me to vote the other way. |

Message | Wealth should never = health Why should the rich get better healthcare and be allowed to jump queues? Everyone is entitled to the same high quality healthcare, moeny should never play a factor |

Message | And why should people die because of stupid ideals? If your son was dying on his deathbed, I'm pretty damn sure you'd pay for him to get quality healthcare, not something the government gives you because that's all the government can afford. |

Message | Wait.....surely if there aren't as many rich people using public health-care, the government can afford to spend more money on each individual patient, thus cutting waiting times and improving services. This will probably better the economy and the health of everyone.....even if the rich may get slightly better healthcare, if the poor get better healthcare too surely the inequality is a valid price to pay? |
Date | 23:42:32, July 07, 2005 CET | From | People's Progressive Party | To | Debating the Healthcare Medium |
Message | No chance. Everyone should be entitled to state-provided healthcare. |

Message | What, so everyone can get worse healthcare together? Sometimes if inequality brings an improvement to ALL affected then it's worth it. Don't go around thinking that if its not equality, it's bad, like you evidently just have in saying that statement. That's just sheer narrow-mindedness. |
