Message | While we are wary of going too far too fast, the Striving Toward A Revolutionary Tomorrow Universalist Party will support, as a gesture of support for unions and DWCs. |
Date | 05:55:35, December 20, 2006 CET | From | Ikradone Nationalsozialistische Partei | To | Debating the Economic Democracy Act |
Message | Absolutely not. DWC's are inefficent, and if strikers are protected, then they become indulgent. |
Date | 07:24:57, December 21, 2006 CET | From | New Democratic Party | To | Debating the Economic Democracy Act |
Message | Not necessarily. While of course social efficiency (balance of individual and societal benefit) is more likely to be achieved, the incentives for economic efficiency (use of resources) exist because the workers themselves now own the company and its profitability directly impacts their own income. Furthermore, since profit is disincentivised, more of the money will go into investment and wages - an injection back into the economy which promotes more growth and development. Taking out the ownership of the elite and putting it into the hands of the workers themselves will not create less efficiency in general. |
