Bill: Tree Replantation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: AM Populist Social Democrats
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2332
Description[?]:
Whereas, logging without tree reimplantation is not only bad for the environment, but just as importantly is not sustainable. Replanted trees are trees that can be logged in the future, while forest clearance without replantation not only damages the environment but leaves us without trees to be logged in the long run, We hereby propose that the government can retain no stand on forest clearance, but that all logging must include tree replantation at replacement level. |
Proposals

Old value:: The government does not intervene with regard to the replantation of trees.
Current: The government does not intervene with regard to the replantation of trees.

Message | We wish to point out that this is actually better for the logging industry in the long term, as if trees are not replanted at replacement level the industry will run out of trees to log eventually-- although the businesses will not take care of this on their own because they are more interested in short term profit. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
