Bill: Cabinet Proposal of October 2332

Details

Submitted by[?]: AM Populist Social Democrats

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2333

Description[?]:

Note that cabinet proposals are not personal, but about finding parties that can work together, and usually seek a bare majority. The new elections did call for a new cabinet. As to whether this one is satisfactory, we will need to see how the other two included parties feel.

MessageWe have given the largest party by far the most seats-- including complete foreign policy apparatus control with the foreign ministry and defense ministry.

We have given the MMP HoG, as we do think it's time for a new party to get a chance to hold that post.

MessageThe LITP are saddended that the PLPL are engaging in this exercise to alter the cabinet so soon after we reached consensus on the old.

The MMP are a young party, and as such may not have the experience needed to take on such a role.

We are also immensely puzzled that, with six months to go before the voting deadline, the PLPL have assumed we rejected this cabinet, and proposed one that removes the largest party from government.

Perhaps the PLPL also have some olitical maturing to do.

So be it.

MessageWe would remind you that there was an election held between the formation of the cabinet and this one.

MessageWe support this motion, despite its major flaws.

The absence of the RWLP is, frankly, shameful.

The MMP, whilst worthy of much respect for their conduct, are a strange choice as Head of Government.
