Bill: Capital City - Discussion

Details

Submitted by[?]: Free Beluzians

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2082

Description[?]:

We really ought to have a capital city, and after the last two bills were defeated, we ought to definatly discuss it's name - and location.

Personally, I'd like to place the Capital in the province of Parlos Decina, and use that province's capital as our own, as well.

But seeing as my viewpoint, once expressed, becomes the minority, I'd better ask what you people think.

MessageI've been giving this alot of thought. Something higly fortified, surely. Bunkerville is probably the best choice...

MessageWould the PPP be willing to accept a name that gives the impression of being fortified, or will it only settle for a capital city whose name uses a word for a fortification, such as Fort Orange, or Youcanttakemebyseigepolis.

MessageSince Bailon has the largest population of all our regions would it not be better to have the capital there? Or, since it is essentially an island chain Iliathar? That being the second largest of the regions and the most easily defendable in case of attack?

MessageI'd say Iliathar for the below reasons

Negunia and Iker Ado are to vunerable

Bailon is the biggest so it would be dull to put it there

Iliathar is easy to defend

And Parlos Decina is in the middle so would also be a boring place to put it

MessageI'm thinking something that sounds like a town in a tropical environment (rw example - Carribean or Polynesia) because it would go with the flag and the cool kinna laid back attitude that all Beluzians should have.

MessageSo that's two votes for Iliathar ;-)

As for a name, if you can come up with one go ahead. I'm crappy at naming things. I personally don't mind as long as it doesn't sound stupid.

Basically it must be memorable.

Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility.
