From | Partisans And Artisans League | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | We're coping and we aren't at war and spending is fine at the moment. Should we feel threatened by our neighbours that would be the time to increase funding into military research, however to increase it would not only alarm our peaceful neighbours but also take money away from those who need it most in our society. |

From | Free Beluzians | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | Monies given to the military under this bill would only be used for research purposes. If we can modernize our military, and research new military technologies, we can keep our current military updated - and possibly even downsize it while keeping it the same fighting level. |

From | Social-Liberal Party | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | We do not feel that military posturing would be reflective of the pacifist nature of the Beluzian people. At the same time we see reason in a bill that would make our military 'smarter', and I would invite the Free Beluzians to make their proposal a little more specific with regards to goals, aims, etc. |

From | Beluzian Labor Party | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | Labor supports Lifting the Standard of Beluzia's defence forces, but is hesitant about increasing spending without any specific goals or objectives. We believe some specifics should be added to the bill. |

From | Free Beluzians | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | The FBP cannot think of any specifics - we are not research institutions, and aside from space and naval technologies, we do not know what is cutting edge, outdated, or fictional military technology.
This bill just allocates more funding towards military research institutes and may not even have any results for combat technology as far as we understand it. |

From | Social-Liberal Party | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | I am dissapointed by the refusal of Free Beluzians to add anything to their bill, just extrapolating upon what they want, despite the request by three members of this house to do this. We will be sure to remember this when we get in power.
This bill is vague and unstructured, and it will be a shame to see it pass into law. It will not make the Beluzian defence more effective. |

From | Neo-Marxist revolutionary Party | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | Actually this bill affects nothing there is no proposal. Thusly no effect. However even on an rp theme it will affect nothing since no real legislation. The state "this body" I would ask which body in question. This government? This House? The FBP? A certain ministry? What body?
It states that various Research and Development programmes.... please specify? |

From | Free Beluzians | To | Debating the Increase Military Research Funding | Message | OOC: Sorry for the ambigious termenology there, I had been writing legislation for Nationstates UN >.< Should this bill be passed, I'll propose a second bill on the subject to further define the nature of this bill. |
