MessageIf a negligence can be proved and the person has lost significant amounts of money as a result, particularly if it means they can no longer work or provide for their family, there is absolutely no reason they should be denied that compensation by an arbitrary cap. Perhaps any medical insurance costs are indeed a market failure.
