Bill: Responsible Individuality Act of 2343
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Party of Dorvik
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2345
Description[?]:
People are part of different social groups but first and foremost, they are individuals who make their own decisions & take their own direction at life. The state is there to serve the individual, not the other way around and by encouraging responsible individuality we don't just increase personal freedom, but also ensure that people take their & other people's lives seriously, knowing their responsibility and increasing the overall security of the society. People who are just 16-years old aren't yet fully developed into adulthood & ready to take responsibility over their own lives, they are still children even if the official calling name of theirs is "young" or "youngster". 18-years is appropiate age for getting full rights as a citizen and ready to take responsibility. Abortion allowed throughout whole pregnancy is not just irresponsible, but also a murder: after the first trimester a baby is starting to be a baby, not just lump of cells anymore. It feels, it even thinks and it's clearly human by its biology and is most obiviously going to born. We have to protect human beings who can't protect themselves. It's not insignificant who can adopt children, it affects to all of us. Lonely people rarely have someone to get immediate support when it's really needed. Even lonely people have to do something for their living so they can't take care of the children so well and can't handle stress & hard situations the best way when they are alone. What if some accident happens for this person? Children are this nation's future and safeguard. We have to choose whether we want potential losers, even criminals or do we want children who can make it in this society? |

Message | Childhood is essentially a social construct, if we treat people like adults they will act like adults. Physical maturity is not exponentially linked to mental capacity. |

Message | We agree with Green Coalition about mental capacity part, but in the age of 18 more people are generally more mature than in the age of 16 and they have passed school when they are 18-years old and have more life experience which is needed in assuming rights & responsibilites of an adult. We have to look on the big picture in this case, some promising individuals isn't enough. Due to these reasons we ask Green Coalition to reconsider their stance. |
